Celebrating the Accomplishments of the 2016-2017 ECO AmeriCorps Members

Vermont Clean Water Week is a time to highlight the tremendous accomplishments of the recently graduated members of the 2016-2017 ECO (Environmental Careers and Opportunities) AmeriCorps program! Twenty members served with local partners across the state in water quality focused positions over the last year, improving over 12 miles of rivers and streams and 309 acres of public lands, educating more than 2,800 Vermonters, and supporting 530 volunteers. Nine of the members were hired into green jobs and eight are returning for the 2017-2018 program year, which begins Sept. 11th. Visit the ECO AmeriCorps Facebook page to learn how each member has enhanced clean water in Vermont – we will share the achievements of four members each day of Clean Water Week!
