South Burlington Homeowners Sought for Focus Group about Lawn Care

An invitation from UVM Sea Grant, Watershed Management Division and other community partners follows:

Do you live in South Burlington?
Do you make most of the lawn care decisions at your home?
Do you mow your lawn to a height of 2-3 inches?

If you would consider mowing your lawn to a height of 3 inches or more to build healthy soils and improve local waterways, then WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We invite you to participate in a focus group on lawn management with Lake Champlain Sea Grant and partner organizations. We are developing a public messaging campaign about lawn care because well-managed lawns can help reduce phosphorus levels in Lake Champlain, leading to improved water quality and fewer blue-green algae blooms.

Are you available to attend one of the focus groups in your community?

Tuesday, March 21st from 6:00pm until 7:00pm
George D. Aiken Forestry Sciences Lab
705 Spear Street
South Burlington, VT

You will be asked what might motivate you to change how you care for your lawn. This focus group is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ideas. Snacks will be provided!
